,"The last years I spent more time avoiding to speak English than to practise it. Now, after only 12 hours (!) of talking with the other guys and your tips and feedback, I have not only lost my fear....I'm searching for opportunities to speak up in English. I ENJOY it! Thank you so much."

If you are worried that your English is not the right level, please book a call. Listening to you speak English for a few minutes is the only way we can know if the Just Talk Club is a good fit for you.
A screenshot from Season 1. There was a lot of laughter, right from the very first session.
After the Just Talk Club finished every participant from both seasons agreed with the statements:
'I feel more relaxed about speaking English'
'My fluency improved'
'I feel better prepared for when I don't know a word I need or I don't understand'

"I just want a safe place to speak English"
This comment, from a clientback in 2023, gave me the idea for the Just Talk Club. The Just Talk sessions are NOT lessons. They are sessions where the participants, well, just talk. It might be a roleplay, a discussion or simply a conversation on a work-relevant topic.
In the sessions I use breakout rooms with 2 or 3 people in each room, so you get maximum speaking time with minimum pressure. I change the groups round several times per session, so you get to talk with different people. It also means you repeat similar tasks two or three times, so you really get practice. Each session has a different topic which is always shared beforehand with some suggestions on how you can prepare for this. However, preparation is optional. It is also fine to just turn up and use the language you already have. If you are interested in the session topics, you can see my initial ideas for Season 3 here.
In the sessions, my role is facilitator rather than teacher. I will pop in and out of the break-out rooms to listen, but most of the time you will be alone with your partner. After the session, I'm back to teacher mode and will send you a short voice message with feedback on your English with actionable tips.
If the word feedback scares you, please don't let it! It is not a list of all the things you did wrong, but a summary of what you did well plus some ideas for things you could improve. Listen here for an example feedback message.
My aim for the Club is to keep it relaxed and fun. I also understand people are busy. The live sessions are designed so it doesn't matter if you miss one. It is also OK if you join late or have to leave early. And as the sessions are at lunchtime, feel free to eat if you need to!

"Thank you for your feedback Kath. I'm finding the Just Talk Club very useful"

The Club is right for you if:
- You currently find speaking English at work challenging and you would like to change that!
- You work in a business-related job
- You have an intermediate or above level of spoken English. Unfortunately the Club is not suitable for beginners or for very advanced learners. If you are not sure if you have the right level for the club, just book a call and we can discuss it. Normally, people have a much better level than they think!
